In reality, the only candidates left are: Pavan Houghtelling Tomasevic
I'd go with Houghtelling personally because she was regional MVP, and if she winds up with 9 more kills than Pavan this match, she'll have more kills on the season. She also averages 2.5 digs per game, a block a game, and hits it at .375 which is ridiculous for any player who is not a middle and averages 3.7 kills a game. She was also MVP of the NACWAA tourney. I'm not sure if she is the leader in kills on the team in the NCAA's, but she was brilliant in the regional final match where she hit .615 and brought them to the final four. A few weeks earlier, I thought if any player from NU would win the award, it'd be Pavan, but now I think that Houghtelling is just as deserving as Pavan.

Houghtelling, IMO, doesn't get the same press that Pavan or Elmer (or even Larson or Saleaumua) got. But I was real impressed with her when I saw her in the spring in Hawaii and during the NACWAA. I thought that there more times when it felt like she was carrying the team than with any other Nebraska player. I think she's a darkhorse for POY, but if I had a vote, I'd vote for her.

The voting for POY happened after this evening's matches (I learned today) Obviously they want to see the top candidates live. In my opinion one more positive for Houghtelling. She has hit over .450 in the NCAA tournament. Unheard of.
