But I would've really liked seeing PSU with Harmotto vs. Washington tonight. After seeing game 1 with Washington beating Tennessee without too much difficulty, I can't help but wonder how great of a match it would've been had Penn State played Washington, I was really hoping that match would've happened. Tennessee deserved the spot in the final four and I'm a big fan of Tennessee in general, but I think the PSU situation is similar to the 1995 Stanford/Nebraska situation, where Texas beat Stanford, but Stanford/Nebraska most likely would've made for a more interesting match according to most observers and fans.

I remember 1995... Texas wouldn't of even made the Final Four had Gokberk not gone down for Florida.

I think we all have a new perspective on this thread.

I remember 1995... Texas wouldn't of even made the Final Four had Gokberk not gone down for Florida. She didn't go down in 1995. We won that match fair and square in five on UF's home court. No injuries, just a Carrie Busch and Demetria Sance led team with key contributions from various role players.

Correct. Aycan went down in the 93 regional final at Texas, which Florida won in 5(I think Texas was ranked #1 at the time. I know they had swept UF just about 2 weeks prior). She also went down in 94, against FSU, I think.
95, Florida was healthy and was ranked #1 for a while before they lost to Nebraska in 5 at the end of the regular season. Demetria Sance was just unstoppable for Texas that night and Missy Aggert(now Whitemore, who does color commentary for UF matches) had the worst match of her career. Her backsets were so predictable.

Eh? I have my years mixed up. I guess you can take what I say with a grain of salt.
