I would. Hawaii wasn't in Florida's league, let alone USC's. Way too one-dimensional and that one dimension tanked, badly. Well the score would say otherwise. That one-dimensional team sure took the leather to the Gophers that year. Uh, BiK. Just about every team the Gophers played in their first several matches of that year "took the leather" to them. I guess that make the Wahine's feat not so special after all, eh? In the end those Gophers played a very solid match against that "best team of all time" Trojans though.

Ross, of course. I'm tired.
Why do you always bring up the Gophers? The Minnesota program is not on the same level with these other programs. You're just saying that because I'm a fan. Classless, you are, grasshopper.
I would LOVE for the Gophers to get to the level of Florida and Hawaii. And they're working on it.
And, btw, I was there. Florida blew Hawaii away.

And the other USC setter was terrific, too. The beach player.
I'm really losing my mind. I've forgotten her name, too.
Who am I anyhow?

If you were there you would have realized that the Gators won but they did not blow Hawai'i out of the water. I have the match on tape.... perhaps I'll watch it tonight.

Regardless of whether or not the Gators would have advanced past Stanford, there is no telling what they would have done afterwards. No I'm just allergic to the tottaly incorect of construction. And of course contractions count.

Erin Martin was wearing goggles because of eye problems and was having problem seeing. Meredith Nelson was dealing with either a back or shoulder problem or something along those lines - plus she was a frosh in her first matches of the season. I believe Lindsey Taatjes injured her ankle in practice just prior to making the trip to Hawaii. There might have been other injuries as well. Oh well though, they both ended their seasn in the natinal semifinals.

My gosh, I can't believe BiK is standing up so vehemently for USC (2002-2003). Well, SC had more things going for them than the Husker squad besides a libero. They had star all-around players in Ross and Burdine, stronger setters, and great team chemistry. As pointed out many times before, that SC squad had a really high volleyball IQ. I think there's no point in comparing USC (2002-2003) w/ Huskies. Who knows how they'd match up. It'd be a good match though. I absolutely loved the Huskies the last couple years. Hope they stay strong next season.
