It's Arlisa's to lose. Salary presently is much less than she gets right now, so Georgetown will really have to step up to the plate.

I really hope Arlisa holds out for a better job, one at a school that actually cares about volleyball and gives the team the best chance to be successful. It's my understanding that Georgetown only provides 9 scholarships for Vball. That isn't gonna cut it, in my opinion.

I thought you played with six on the floor. Estrella

I'm not advocating anyone for Georgetown, but the 9 scholarships will be going to 12 in the next year or so. So, take the 9 scholarships out of the question. Whether or not Georgetown is funded well enough in other areas and whether its a good job or not, you can debate all you want.

Is Mitch full-time yet or is the assistant position still part-time? I can't remember.

Best of luck to Arlisa. Sad to see her go.
WASHINGTON D.C.
University of Florida assistant coach Arlisa Hagan was named the head coach at Georgetown University as announced Tuesday.
Hagan becomes the seventh former player or assistant coach under UF’s Mary Wise currently serving as a head coach in collegiate volleyball.
“We’ve been very fortunate for the number of great people in this position that have helped us be successful over the years,” Wise said. “We will miss Arlisa, but know that this is a great opportunity for her. Georgetown and Arlisa are a perfect match.”
In her four seasons at Florida (2002-05), Hagan helped guide the Gators to the 2003 NCAA Championship title match, two Final Fours, three NCAA Regional Finals, four Southeastern Conference regular season titles, three SEC tournament titles and a 131-13 record (.916 winning percentage).
I'm really excited to start my first head coaching job," Hagan said. "Georgetown's reputation, both academically and athletically, speak for itself. To have the opportunity to coach in Washington and in the Big East Conference is a challenge to which I look forward. I can't wait to get started."
Hagan joins Keylor Chan (assistant coach, Northwestern), Meg Colado (player, Central Florida) Steffi Legall (player, Georgia), Claire Lessinger (player, South Florida), Prentice Lewis (assistant coach, TCU), Jen Sanchez (player, Incarnate Word) in the list of former players or coaches at Florida under Wise who are current collegiate head coaches.
