On the broadcast they quickly scanned down the line of All-Americans. There was a maybe half second shot of what appeared to be Kristen Richards on crutches. Anyone have any idea if that was her and what happened? I realize this is the time of the year to get anything "fixed" but I was surprised based on her play of the last month that anything *was* wrong.

I wondered the same thing. She moved very very slowly in them at the AA/POY banquet.

She didn't donate a ligament to Barboza, did she? Because that would be just _stupid_.

KR was definitely on crutches when she came onto the floor. It didn't llook like that she was putting a lot of weight on the one leg. I was wondering myself what her problem was.

No, no, no. She had just had treatment on one knee; then she will have the other knee treated and be on crutches again. No big deal for her; she has been playing "hurt" for quite some time. Most people probably don't realize that she cannot practice much during the week because of the condition of her knees. In some ways, an early out for Stanford this year was a blessing.

Ah ha publius! So that's why you were able to pick Santa Clara over Stanford in the contest. You had "inside" info on poor Kristen's knees. I therefore declare your win null and void. Darn, I still only come in second in that case. :-( Well, at least I beat Pablo. :-)
