Man, i'm pretty stoked about this season! After a REALLY REALLY depressing start to the year for Volleyball and basketball, i'm ready for THE GUYS! After seeing what we were capable of last year, although plagued by inconsistency and a bad record, i'm AMPED about seeing this team come together! Communication seems to be better, talent is loaded, and Coach Knipe is really intense... I really like the way he runs this team... Very scrappy, very physical... And extra incentive... Another hosting... Can't wait to see what we can do! ;D And the crowds WILL be better and more vocal if everything goes as we plan... Hawaii will definately be a bad a** night in the 'MID!!! Good schedule! GO BEACH!!! |

Robert Tarr, Kevin Cape, Teddy Lyles, and Tyler Caldwell are all redshirting this year. LB has so much talent, there just isn't room for all of them ;D

I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LONG BEACH STATE VS. HAWAII. LAST SEASON THERE WAS ALOT TRASHING TALKING ON THE ISLANDS. BUT I DON'T THINK IT WILL GET AS BACK AS IT WAS LAST YEAR. ESPECIALLY, WITH DEJAN, BLAIN AND MAYS GONE. OTHER THAN COSTAS, AND YOU REALLY HAVE TO PISS HIM OFF TO GET HIM GOING, THE OTHER HAWAII PLAYERS ARE JUST NOT THAT TYPE. EG. TUYAY IS GOOD BUDDIES WITH WOOTEN, KIEJEWSKI AND JEFF T. DAVE LEE AND KIMO ARE SURFING BUDDIES IN SAN DIEGO. ALL THESE GUYS WERE JO ALL AMERICANS IN 2000.
HOWEVER, IT'LL BE A GOOD MATCH. I THINK BEAU PETERS WILL TO DO WELL. AND DUNCAN BUDINGER IS MY PICK FOR FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR (AN EARLY PREDICTION). BOOKUMDANOALOHA

The Red-shirts and some of the players that don't get to play much are going to play in a Men's tournament at the Pyramid on Sunday. I don't know what their team name will be.....
The tournament is a fundraiser for the Beach volleyball program.
