There is a lot of talk about next year's premier teams, yet I have not read much about Ohio State. The Bucks return every starter, get their RS player back from ACL surgery, and have good size entering the program in the freshman class. With Main at the wheel and Meyer, Stevens, and Britenriker providing the competitive fire, I look for Ohio State to challenge for the Big Ten crown.

Yeah yea yeah... like we are supposed to believe that OSU will be good without Gordon? I don't think so. ;-D

Weird, I was just thinking the same thing at work today. I do think that they will be at the top of the Big Ten. All the other teams that finished at the top of the Big Ten this season (Wisconsin, Penn State, Minnesota) lose some very good players in key positions. OSU will not have to deal with chemistry issues early in the season. However, they do lose Amanda Miller who played L2 (I think) for a lot of the season. I think their only weak spot is going to be a libero. But the rarely played with one this season and all of their hitters and Main can play some good D. On a semi-unrelated note: Who will be libero for PSU next season?

I would think that Roberta Holehouse would be a primary candidate.

As for libero, they used about three different ones throughout the season as this has always been a weak spot for the team. Briana McCarthy is the RS returning and she will will really be good this year for them. Her size up front for hitting and blocking plus she has set for them so when Main doesn't get the ball in a rally, McCarthy will provide decent sets. This team could win the Big Ten if they all stay healthy--but this has ALWAYS been their nemesis.

Nobody except Penn State's going to win the Big10 _unless_ PSU's frosh setters are not up to the task.
