Yeah, I saw that Sandel left for a high school job. What's the story there? Did his wife get a job somewhere?

from official release...
BOISE, Idaho - Scott Sandel has resigned as the Boise State volleyball head coach to accept a position teaching and coaching girls volleyball at Tascosa High School in his hometown of Amarillo, Texas. Sandel made the announcement today (Wed., Feb. 22).
Sandel just completed his fourth season with the Boise State volleyball program. After taking over the Bronco program that had gone 1-25 the season before he came, Sandel went 25-30 combined in the past two seasons. The 2005 season ended with a 3-0 victory over Louisiana Tech in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament before losing to No. 8 ranked and eventual tournament champion Hawaii in the following match.
Among Boise State’s turn-around landmarks in 2004 and 2005 were the program’s historical first victories over SMU, Tulsa, Fresno State, UTEP and Texas Tech. Sandel also recruited and coached the program’s first All-WAC honorees (Cameron Flunder three times, Heather Malschak in 2004). The Broncos also had 13 WAC All-Academic honorees during his four years.
Sandel joined the Broncos after serving as head coach at Northern Michigan University, where he guided the Wildcats to two straight NCAA appearances (2000 and 2001). His overall record at NMU was 40-22 in two seasons.
Sandel served as an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina for three seasons (1997-1999). He also served as the head coach at Redlands (Okla.) Community College in the spring of 1997. He served as an assistant coach at Northern Arizona and at West Texas State.
During his collegiate coaching career he has helped guide his teams to 10 national post-season tournament appearances (nine NCAA and one NIVC) in 13 seasons, won one national title, has coached two NCAA Division II Players of the Year, six All-Americans, and nine All-Region players.
Scott and his wife, Shannon, have two sons - Quinn (4) and Zane (1).
A search for a new head coach will begin immediately, according to Boise State Director of Athletics Gene Bleymaier.

Too bad about him leaving BSU. I thought he did a pretty good job of upgrading the program. He had some pretty good players -- Flunder, Eveland among them.
