Ok IB, so who are the front-runners to replace Ken? To be quite honest, I wish that I were a coaching applicant for this job. Moscow is a great community. Idaho has a great, supported program. The coaching staff is excellent and the facilities are very nice. Housing is affordable. Low crime area for those with families, or afraid of crime . I imagine that Debbie will have a lot of work sifting through the applications, alone.

Ken is an awesome person and coach. UTEP is lucky to have him. The Lady Vandals will miss him! It will be interesting to see who Coach B. finds to replace Ken. Good luck, Ken!

2010 Jeopardy answer for that question: "The former associate head coach for the University of Idaho Vandals, previously having coached at Colorado State, who converted UTEP volleyball from middle-of-the-pack to a national power."

I know. Ain't nobody convincing top volleyball talent to spend 4/5 years in El Paso, Texas. Probably not, but he'll still get it done.

I know. Ain't nobody convincing top volleyball talent to spend 4/5 years in El Paso, Texas. I don't know about 'national power' but New Mexico St. is not far from El Paso and they're doing pretty well. El Paso has about 750,000 people, and the surrounding area is close to 2 million. There is local talent that can be developed. The campus is reasonable, and there is a local college town type area near campus. I don't think it's as difficult a sell as you might think, especially to kids from Albuquerque, Amarillo, Lubbock. 'National Power' might be stretching it a little, but getting UTEP to the top of their conference, and nationally dangerous seems possible. I would think UTEP could eventually become at least as good as Idaho - and Idaho is good and improving quite a bit lately.
