As for the top ten, no way. Miramontes has a bad sprain, Mariko is a downgrade, plain and simple. Tonight Vargas showed she will still be inconsistent. I was a bit surprised they didn't try Lawlor, in some capacity, even maybe as the opp. Oregon is vastly improved, but the Beach should win that one at home. Good luck getting on a plane and recovering for the Huskers... Is Crimes too hard to set?? That is the question I am looking at. Those super high up kids create difficult angles for short setters. Beach could have also been experiencing a hangover from the weekend tournament load. They will bounce back, but top ten is out of the question for now, but a serious threat for top 20, once Miramontes is good to go. Go Beach... not.

beach will lose in 4. newbraska cornsuckers will be overconfident and beach will take advantage. the big12 finals will only be a dream. keep dreaming... perhaps ye mite win another title against a pac10 team. the reality of it however is.. if there's a pac10 team in the finals... just give them the title. i wouldn't mind tx making it and winning the title tho. it's the only legit team outside of the pac10, big west, and wac.

LBSU may be down a bit this year, but the Ducks are much improved and will soon shed their Pac-10 doormat status for good.
