We should take bets. Sadly, the money handling issue is a big one. And insurmountable. So, no money bets will be taken.
Okay, just vote and identify yourself as to how you voted. You may give reasons, but make sure it's a good reason. Otherwise, you'll get a raspberry in the mail. Winner of this contest to get a prize. I won't be the one giving the prize. I'm just suggesting someone should send the winner(s) a prize.
Ineligible to vote and win the prize: Any member of the Klineman family and close friends and associates of the Klinemans. Anyone associated with the volleyball programs at Hawaii, Stanford, Texas, UCLA, and Washington. Boosters are okay though.

BEST reasons to pick each school:
Hawaii: Volleyball paradise; instant celebrity status Stanford: Stellar academic reputation; degree will open doors if she pursues a non-vb career Texas: Excellent academic reputation and facilities Washington: Top volleyball contender in a picturesque community UCLA: It's near the Getty Center

BEST reasons to NOT pick each school:
Hawaii: Well, um, the academics and commuter school-ness Stanford: If you pursue a non-vb career, the Stanford degree is worthless; People will expect more from you if you have a Stanford degree; can you handle the expectations? Texas: Hot and humid and the Texas arrogance can be grating Washington: The entire Pacific Northwest will blow up soon UCLA: Parking issue @ Westwood, plus it's too close to home

Reasons you should NOT use in deciding which school to pick:
Hawaii: Island paradise. Believe me, you'll develop island/cabin fever and want to leave the island in a year or two. Stanford: Education. You won't necesarily get the best education at Stanford. You can get a good education almost anywhere. Stanford classes and professors won't make you smarter. Texas: National championship. No coaching staff should make promises of a national championship. Washington: The rain. Definitely not a good reason to axe UW. Rain is water. Water is life. Life is good. Water is good. Rain is good. UCLA: Poor volleyball atmosphere and lack of support. Ultimately, you should think of your education and major. The volleyball is a means to get an education.

I'll take 100-1 against anybody that Klineman goes to Stanford.

BEST reasons to NOT pick each school: Washington: The entire Pacific Northwest will blow up soon No no. The bay area is going to fall in the ocean before the PNW blows up. Choose Washington Klineman, you at least have a few more years up here. (For Bearclause: I said nothing about volleyball programs, I was advising her on survival possibilities.) I picked other just so I don't jinx any of the schools.

Some of our schools are elite in the nation.

Reasons to go to Indiana:
1. Take all 225 swings during a 5 game match. 2. Seriously, it's a good school.
What would people do if she was like, "Uh, Stanford, no.... Texas.... no thanks.... I'm going to be a Hoosier!"

I voted for Stanford because I live in the Bay Area and I hear rumors. And I want to win a prize.

According to the articles I have been reading Hawaii really belives they have her. What articles are you reading? I haven't seen any article that even hinted that Hawaii believes they have her. Even on volleyball/sports forums, all I've read is that people here are happy that she's considering Hawaii. I think that most people assume that she'll go to Stanford. But you can't blame the Hawaii, Washington, Texas and UCLA fans for hoping otherwise.
