I think that, much like in 2003, Florida will beat an inferior Hawaii team, causing mass depression in the islands. Not sure about mass depression. Based on Hawaii's performance this past weekend, I think the Gators will come out victorious. It seems Florida has more talent on their team right now. Hawaii has to work out their little problems. I'm just hoping for a good match.

Both teams were very comparable, Florida just happened to play a bit better than the Bows that night. As for this matchup, I'm going with Hawai'i. Hawai'i is almost impossible to beat at home and Florida isn't an overwhelming opponent. I do think it will be a good matchup but my take is Hawai'i in 4.

I think that, much like in 2003, Florida will beat an inferior Hawaii team, causing mass depression in the islands. LOL .. Florida does not make or break the season. Pressure should really be on Florida. They are the higher ranked team with the "better, more highly recruited athletes." Do we want to beat them, CERTAINLY!! Do we have Willoughby and Kahumoku? Unfortunately, not. But Florida doesn't have Aury Cruz either. Seriously though, I think Hawaii matches up well. While I realize McGinnis' abilities, I also believe Kamana'o runs a faster, more complicated offense. I also think Hawaii may have a few more options at most positions than Florida does. Florida is favored, but they will have to bring their "A" game to beat the Wahine. The big question is whether the Wahine will find their passing game and how long will they be able to sustain it? If they pass well, Florida will be in for a long, long night.

I think Florida/Hawaii will be a very good close match. I don't think it will be a blowout either way.
Hawaii really didn't play all that well against Pepperdine, but still managed to win both games.
From all accounts it appears that Florida didn't look too impressive against Utah, which is a team that is similar to Pepperdine in that they are very tall, although I think Pepperdine is probably more athletic and has a bit more talent.
I know it sounds simplistic, but if they past reasonably well I think Hawaii wins... if they pass like they did on night one against Pepperdine, it will be ugly.

But then again, if Hawaii doesn't serve tougher than they did this weekend, the Gators won't have to be fantastic passers to be in system.

I also think Hawaii may have a few more options at most positions than Florida does. Yeah, i'm gonna disagree with this one. Florida has about 7000 middles, and a better RS.

LOL .. nice! So tell us about your Gators, Mr Basedow. They were kind of streaky against Utah, much like the Wahine. Passing was much of the culprit for Hawaii. What was the reason for the Gators' letdowns against Utah?

I would say don't have to buy any; you could share mine. Well, I have a beach towel lined up. Now all I need is a plane ticket and a place to stay. You can stay on my air mattress. But if you keep me up on Friday night crying, I'm going to call the police.
