From what I saw, it does not look like Mancuso's up to the challenge of starting full time at OH. I hope she grows into the position. She was caught flat footed too often, and her attack was hot and cold.

I've asked this before, but seriously, if you were Griffin would you be content with sitting on the bench for the next two seasons? She knew what she was getting into, but she could start on all but about ten DI schools in the country.

Think Griffin would transfer again? Can you even do that?

That was an odd match. Nebraska seemed to get worse as the match went on. They hit well over .300 in the first game, then finished the match hitting .191. We are definately not the best team in the country, right now.
Tracy Stalls was relatively quiet, 3 blocks and 8 kills on 14 swings. But Pavan and (surprise!) Amanda Gates combined for 18 blocks! Dani Busboom was very good in her first match as libero, and Holloway was as advertised.
It was just the first match of the season, so let's not look too much into this one. And let's also give credit to a good, scrappy USD team who actually out-dug us, 52-49.

Think Griffin would transfer again? Can you even do that? I don't think she will. I think she knew what she was getting into. She had her moment in the spotlight. By the way Holloway and Griffin are roommates. I get the feeling Maggie is fairly mature emotionally. She played a major part in leading Nebraska to a National Title game so she has nothing to hang her head about. Anything can happen, and its nice to have two quality setters who will constantly push each other in practice. I think a good question to ask would be: Would you have been happier being a four year starter at Michigan St. and not even making the tourney, or starting at Nebraska one year and getting to the title game, playing in front of a sold out crowd every home match, and being a part of national attendance records. But again let's not write her totally off. The season is young and anything can happen. (hope it doesn't because it will probably most likely mean Holloway is injured)

Think Griffin would transfer again? Can you even do that? Jen Bowman did it, from Northern Illinois to LBSU to Minnesota (I'm not positive if the first two are right). I want to say that you must sit out a year after your second transfer, but I could be wrong about that.

I think a lot might have to do if she wants to pursue volleyball after college. If she really wants to play professionally, it would probably be a huge deal for her to get playing time her last two years.

I think if you got to watch the video feed, what really stands out about Holloway was the fact that it really didn't matter where the ball was, she could set a good ball. There were a couple of mis sets. She appears to have the athleticism and strength to set the ball in any direction from anywhere. Not sure if that makes sense. You just had to see it.

I'm not trying to be a jackass, but actually, they combined for 9 total blocks, because they had 18 block assists combined. But still, the blocking coach at UNL must be genius. How many years in a row has Nebraska led the country in blocking??

If you mean she'd start AHEAD of all but ten setters in D1, you are just being silly. As for JBow, yes she did have to sit out a year after her 2nd transfer.
