Again, people assume it's a no-brainer to redshirt. Does Texas have the scholarship slot open? I'm betting they don't. And, if they did, do you stop pursuing Klineman? No, you don't.
OTOH, maybe she'd come back as a non-scholarship redshirt?
It's too bad. The kid's been through a lot in her career. I was there, and I'm still not sure what she did. Looked like she ran into the ref's stand on her slide, but maybe she just grabbed it when she hurt her knee?
I do know Todd landed on Paolini's foot.

Texas has 14 on the current roster; I'm assuming Kisner and Kiley Hall are not on scholarship. 4 seniors -- Acevedo, Magee, Jenny Andrew, and Todd 2 commitments -- 6'5 MB Jennifer Doris and 6'2 OH Juilanna Faucette So, unless Jerritt was/is going to award Hall or Kisner a 'ship for next season, we still have 2 available. If Magee stays next season, then we now have one remaining. Other than Klineman, I have heard of no other player that Texas is recruiting; anyone want to share what they know?

She has had some knee trouble for at least a year, although you couldn't tell by her consistent offensive production, so it may be that landing/diving and then sliding into the pole finally snapped tissue that was already stressed and weak.

They will do just fine wthout their All-American middle, her experience and leadership will not be there, but hopefully she can redshirt this season and come back strong next year.

EXCELLENT! Having the surgery this month will give her a lot of rehab time to be back to speed by summer workouts.

A coach would be an extreme idiot and arsehole to take away her scholarship after an injury when she could come back. It would kill his recruiting if word got out that he did that to one of his seniors. I, for one, would never consider going to a school where a coach would pull a scholarship because of an injury that could be recover from. She'll get her scholarship back.
