What a match. UCI jumped out early against a bunch of USD's second team, and played really well. Hilliard had to bring in the horses, and they were barely able to squeak it out. UCI had a swing for match, and USD had two miracle covers on match point. UCI's inexperience cost them down the stretch, they will walk away bummed about not closing out a better team. Great. great match!!

I think they are going to be much better than people think. They have a great freshman setter and have other good young talent. The new assistant, Pat Bonner, was also a great hire. I think they'll finish 3rd or 4th in the conference.

I think they might be better than people expect.. but to think they will get third is too ambitious. Beach, Cal Poly and Santa Barbara should battle for the top three spots. We fill find out more after this weekend...

I could go to each of the school's Web site and find out about the scores and who played, but I'm too lazy so since you watched the match what where was the match played, what was the score, who played well from each team and why was this a great match you just witness last night. Oh yeah - what team and player were you cheering for? Thanks for sharing a bit of what happened last night. What a match.
