There's going to be some big changes in the AVCA poll this next week amongst those changes the Gophers likely fall out of the top 25 unless the some of the voters take it easy on them knowing they're without two of their top players this weekend.

I don't care who they were missing. This is a poor showing for an elite volleyball program. You don't get swept by LSU and not with a 30-18 game in there, and you sure as heck don't get beat up by a very young TAMU squad.
You'd hope they'd regroup after next weekend, but the competition will not be strong. They'll be headed into the Big10 season, just like last year, with an untested lineup.
So frustrating...

Minnesota will be lucky to receive votes. Kiss the Top 25 goodbye--probably for the year -- unless they have a drastic turnaround next week or finish a strong second in the Big10.

Go lay down and let your blood pressure drop again.

I just looked at their schedule, they have Cal Poly, Louisville, and Nebraska next week. Yikes, certainly no gimmies in there. Louisville looks a little overrated though, but Cal Poly probably better than many thought.

They have those 3 AND they will be without their libero.
A 1-5 start looks more likely than any other number.

With the parody in the vb field this year I believe the Gophers will pull it all together by the end of the season and be a force to be reckoned with in the NCAA tourney. I'll go out on a limb to predict that they either win the Big 10 or come in 2nd. This weekend had to be difficult for the players as much as the fans not having their lineup set with the absence of KBow and Marci. I just know as a Booster that I really would like to hear a full explanation as to the basis of these suspensions.
