She may...help with the NC with some help. I hope she will join the Wahine.
My point is...if she goes to Stanford, with all those AAs and blue chippers they already have...it's not good for the sport if the talent is not spread out.
I was just responding to the guy with a ripped underwear.

How'd this thread become Alix goes to Hawai'i? I did my part, Gorf. I also was hoping for a quick summary about other teams in this thread.

Nebraska has already showed big improvements in floor defense. Like I said earlier (somewhere) it is almost like wathcing NU's football team go from the running game to the West Coast offense, its that strange looking at NU's personnel on the floor. In one or two rotations we have 3 "little" people in the back row with no available back row attacker. Busboom is averaging a little over 5 digs/game. Holloway had the team hitting .410 over 3 matches after starting out hitting only .192 in the season opener. Larson is doing what I expected her to do. Improved blocking, great floor defense, taking a lot more attacks. I figured another year in NU's weight program and a year of maturity would do wonders for her already fairly high level of play. As good as she was, even she found out that college is played at a whole different level than club or high school. I would like to see Gates up her kill numbers, doing an good job in the blocking. Stalls may never be an Elmer (but then not many people will) just cause I think she is just slightly slower than Elmer. But she is really ready to have a breakout season after two injured plagued years...and it shows. I'd like to see Mancuso a little more consistent, but I think she is developing into her new role. Overall, I'm more confident of the team than I was two weeks ago. The competition has been good but not great, but unfortunately probably won't get much better, other than possibly it appears Cal Poly and of course Texas. Like most other teams they have a LOT of upside potential. Overall I would say a B to B+. How can you do a summary on Nebraska and not mention Pavan? I did not attend the games this week, nor did I listen to them, but judging from the statistics it would seem that she is still an integral part of this team. Any comments on her play thus far. Comments on the play of Maria Carlini of Wisconsin or the performance of any other Canadian playing in the U.S. would also be appreciated

Comments on the play of Maria Carlini of Wisconsin or the performance of any other Canadian playing in the U.S. would also be appreciated Maria Carlini had a good weekend for the Badgers... she was the tournament MVP for the Inntowner Invitational. She averaged 4.77 kpg, .286%, 3.33 dpg, and 1.44 bpg. Her blocking was really impressive and she is really the only player on the outside for Wisconsin who has a line-shot, and she's really developed it into a weapon. It looks like she's finally stepping up as an outside hitter and playing like a senior.

Comments on the play of Maria Carlini of Wisconsin or the performance of any other Canadian playing in the U.S. would also be appreciated I apologize, eh. I guess the reason I didn't include her, (Sarah Pavan) was because I wasn't really worried about her, and I mean in the most positive way possible. She's awesome as usual. From what I can tell her big weakness was her inconsistent jump serve. It appears that she's a bit better in that area. She's not playing as much in the back row, although she's taking advantage of it when she does. In Sunday's win over LBSU 9/24 kills came from the backrow. She's definately embraced and relishes the role of being the go to person. Leading the team with 5.25 kpg, hitting .354 and is second on the team in blocks. judging from the statistics it would seem that she is still an integral part of this teamYou don't need statistics to confirm this. Again, part of the reason I "forgot" about her was because she was the player with the least amount of questions. Taking her for granted so to speak. Her awards and accolades over the last two years speak for themselves.

What, we're already 2 weeks in? I figured the volleyball universe would be put on hold while I was gone. Oh well. Looks to be an interesting year this year, with no real clear cut dominant team or 2.
