I don't know I'm not a Cardinal fan, but I just thought it might be nice for others to take notice that Hawaii isn't the only team with problems out there.

I could understand if it were a palm tree, swaying back and forth to the tropical breezes, relaxing the players and lulling them to s--n--o--r....

Well it's kind of a wimpy looking tree...nothing that will help to strike fear into Cardinal opponents. It's as feeble as Charlie Brown's Christmas tree.

Here is a link about Santa Clara Bronco's Crystal Matich. Why am I posting this on the Stanford thread? Perhaps the reason our OH's aren't doing so well is also because of the setting? I think Kehoe is athletic, but is she one of the best setters in the country? No. I don't even think she is the best setter in the Bay Area. I'm a Stanford fan, but I can't wait to see the game between Santa Clara and Stanford. I would not be surprised if Stanford lost again. santaclarabroncos.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/090406aaa.html

Enfeebled on purpose by pre-game rituals including the imbibing of Napa Valley fluids, the Tree (please respect the capital T, BIK) causes opponents to snicker and diffuse energy that could have been used more successfully in the ensuing match. The Stanford feebles who in most part are responsible for Silicon Valley are probably as successful as the creator of CB and his feeble Christmas tree.

I wish I was at the matches so that I could form an opinion.

I think Kehoe is one of the best setters in the nation. Athletic, aggressive. She proved that two years ago. So far, in the two matches I've seen this year, though, she's off on her connections with her hitters. I imagine Dunning will be able to remedy this, but hopefully soon enough that Stanford doesn't dig itself into a hole.

If Stanford has a problem MANY ranked teams are also in trouble. So what is the problem??? THEY lost to BYU? Big deal. Have you seen NATIONAL champion contenders lose in the past to lower ranked teams? Of course. What defines a team is improvement and peaking at the right time. Solution.....keep playing and get rid of those ignoramus fans! ESTRELLA

The problem with the Tree is not so much the stupid looking costume, but, at least at the match I went to in 2004, the person in the tree had no rhythm. That is bad for a Dancing Tree.

The Tree is usually so intoxicated that one can light his/her breath. It's kind of hard to have much rhythm when one is at twice the legal blood alcohol limit for driving.

If you notice I also started two other threads with the exact same heading, only different teams. It was an effort to spur discussion of other teams.
