Why would Vatterrodt be named to the All-Tournament team ahead of Jones or even Nelson? Their stats for the weekend are better.

To think how much better Hawaii would've been had Marci Peniata played for them, with all their current passing woes. Marci's older sister played for BYU-H, I believe, and Marci herself was receptive to playing for Hawaii. Sadly, Hawaii did not recruit her, hence their doom and folly.

Marci's younger sister is _currently_ playing for BYU-H.
Marci also would have jumped at the chance to play at BYU, I bet.
She was a walk-on at the U! (Although she's scholarship now.) She's going to be THE defender in the Big10 this year, just watch. Even better than Wack and the Purdue kids.

"Doom and Folly" should be the title of a thread about...um...doom and folly.

Anyone know the status of Peniata's appeal? I don't know if they leave today or tomorrow...

When did she appeal? Does something like that take so long that the decision will mean nothing because her suspension will have already been the six matches?

I understood the appeal was to be made this week (yesterday?) because there was no time last week.
Which is another issue: why was this dropped on the Gophers the week before their first tournament? Did the other team -- if another team did in fact report them -- wait that long? Did the NCAA wait that long?
This still stinks.

Now for some good news. Barring some bizarre oversight, 2007 recruits Gibbemeyer and Dieter appear to be in PrepVB's Top Ten.
I'm surprised Cowles didn't crack the Top 100, but this is a nice tradeoff.

I predict (don't know the order, other than Klineman's probably #1):
Dieter Gibbemeyer Doris Faucette Garret Klineman Roleder Wilson, Arielle
Last two?
Mills? Troost??
Is Texas loading up or what?

Is Texas loading up or what? Jerritt is one of the best recruiters in the business. If he doesn't win a national title, or at least multiple Big12 titles in the next five years, we will have to assume something's missing on the strategy/technique side of his training system. In any case, the Texas v. Nebraska conference games are going to be two of the nation's premier slugfests from here on out, with the winner getting a huge rating boost going into postseason each year.
