Hate listening to 5 game radio broadcasts! Looks like the 6-2 might be the offense for Purdue as when Shondell and Mader hit the court things started to happen. Merlau has to step things up as again hit under .200 for the match. Miller hit negative on 30 swings?? Purdue out-blocked again...this time 16 to 6? Gurnell with 14 kills...Still alot of questions but now 8-0 on the season!

Huh... Dayton is proving they can compete with teams we thought were decent.

Merlau is a free swinger and will always be a free swinger (just hits disregrading location of block). Hits the ball heavy but still does the same things as she did in club. Purdue did show great ball control and I did see them serve Dayton very tough. Lynch had a great game! Dayton's succes is that they FINALLY have a setter that can deliver and makes very few errors. She also plays great defense. Did you guys know that this kid was the back up setter for ST Ursula HS for several years behind Kehoe. Just imagine if she got those reps in HS and club. I like her a LOT! Dayton is lacking consistent outside hitting, but they do play aggresive. Still feel that Purdue is good! Estrella

I think Purdue has to be happy to get the win. Dayton showed they were good with the win over Arizona, and this loss won't be much of a blemish on their record either, in my opinion. I wonder how the Flyers will do against Illinois.

Passing was horrible for Purdue in game 4 so I am not sure you can blame the poor hitting on the setters. I don't know why Mader didn't start as a hitter. She hits smartly and swings at anything.
Dayton played great defense and deserves to be ranked.

Purdue did show great ball control and I did see them serve Dayton very tough. This is going to be Purdue's saving grace a lot, I think. They can bring the serve as well as any team around. Dildine and Merlau have good jump serves, but it's amazing at how tough Gray is, too. Of course, they can service error like anyone around, and that can hurt them (13 SE against Arizona St)

If they did a better job at least 50% of the time in the match Purdue wins easier. Dayton is good.....but not better than Purdue. They need to get consitent outside hitting. ESTRELLA

ESTRELLA I guess I thought the passing was bad enough that the setters didn't have much choice but to send the ball to the OH where the blockers were camping out. But you are right - all need to do a better job.
