Richards hitting percentage is going to have to better to beat Hawaii. Normally I'd agree but Hawai'i has problems of its own.

Barboza has been plyaing on the left side (and hitting a bit from the back) with Foluke playing in the middle. I'd imagine Nji was on the right.

Richards hitting percentage is going to have to better to beat Hawaii. No it won't, the Wahine, even with an erroraneous Barboza and Richard, will still lose on Saturday. Tonight's match(against Fairfield) was just woeful. Even though Hawaii'll lose on Saturday, i'm really stoked to get a chance to see Stanford.

Girard was on the right last season. She played all three front-row positions, first training to be on the right, then playing middle when Lizzie Suiter was injured, then played on the left when Barboza went down. This year, she has been concentrating on soley the middle.

Based on tonight's match, Stanford seems to have primarily three offensive weapons, Barboza, the most impressive, Richards, and Akinradewo. No one else stood out. The first two games were similar. Stanford took big leads. Then Northwestern, with tough serving and poor passing on the part of the Cardinals, made last minute runs. However, twice Northwestern fell short because it was then their turn to make a lots of unforced errors.
