OSU 30-27, 25-30, 30-27, 30-28 over LUC
Adam Pedersen 14 kills, .684 hitting with five blocks for OSU. Mike Wauligman 15 kills, eight digs for Buckeyes. Andy Cole 13 kills, eight digs. Scott Spurlock 6 kills, seven blocks.
LUC's James Grunst match-high 23 kills with .500 hitting and seven blocks. Shawn Schroeder chips in 18 kills.
OSU hits .358 as a team to LUC's .331.

I always said that Shawn was only that dominant because he played w/ the likes of davis and shnoor... He is not that good... that freshmen is showing him off..

First of all Schroeder is the best middle in the MIVA, hands down. And Grunst is second. Shnoor is spelled Schnor smart guy. When Schroeder gets a commit triple block on half of his swings I can understand why his numbers are down from last year. But to say he isnt good is just ridiculous. The middles are the go-to-guys on Loyola and when teams play Loyola their goal is to stop the middles. And when he still hits above .400 they obviously cant stop him. Done.

I agree with Schoeder being the best middle in the MIVA...you put him on a better team and he would have much better stats. You stop Schroeder, you stop Loyola... I think it's tougher for a middle to dominate when the other team is keying on you, unlike a OH or OPP who has more time to look at the block and defense....
