Stanford takes game 2, 30-16. Barboza 10 kills, hitting .588 Foluke 12 kills, also hitting .588 It sounds like Kehoe is finally playing like an All-American again with 29 assists (and 3 kills hitting 1.000).

Agreed a match like this doesn't do much but pad your ego, but it's fun to have everyone hit over .300 every once in a while. Stanford takes game 3, 30-14. Barboza finishes with 12 kills, hitting .632 Richards with 13, hitting .385 and Foluke with 17 kills hitting .556 with 4 blocks Stanford with 9 blocks as a team

I would hope. Is Fairfield even division 1. Kind of like Middle Tennessee huh? Remember, we didn't do the invitations, Hawaii did.

St Mary's was 2 years ago...the year they won the national championship. Last year it was Santa Clara. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Poor Fairfield. The team had some success in its Hawaii game with its tips, dumps--a "hit it where they ain't" strategy. Dunning and his team watched the game with Hawaii. The scouting helped. In its game with Fairfield, Stanford just smothered all the tips and dumps. This meant with its average 5'8" height of its players, Fairfield couldn't hit above, around, or through Stanford's blocks. The result--a rout. However, for me Fairfield had one highlight. Lindsey Lee was part of a resounding block of a right side attack.

StMarys from a few years ago. Although StMarys has dropped off some with the loss of Stephenson, many of the players that hurt Stanford when they beat them 2 years ago are still around. My point is that MTS ain't that bad. Could become a EWashington/SacState/NIowa type of team over the next couple years out in the east.
