Astrange number selected and four Longhorns picked, although not for best blocker. I can also think of one reason to leave Moriarty off the list.
Time Warner Cable Texas Invitational All-Tournament Team: Julianna Klein, Missouri Nicole Fawcett, Penn State (MVP) Alisha Glass, Penn State Megan Hodge, Penn State Kim McGiven, Santa Clara Ashley Engle, Texas Destinee Hooker, Texas Alyson Jennings, Texas (Libero Award) Michelle Moriarty, Texas

Alyson Jennings, Texas (Libero Award) Libero Award? ? What the? ? Then why not a special award for Middle Blockers? Or Opposites?? They gave out an outstanding Libero all-tournament selection at The USAV Nationals for a while, but then bailed-out of it. Geez, even the USAV came to their senses.

In the Gamecock Invitational, Seilhamer was tabbed Outstanding Libero.

Cole was named to her third-straight all-tournament team. Other members included Latoya Blunt and Kathleen Yee from St. John's, Thompson of Florida State, and Diane Copenhagen and Jessica Gysin from Southern California. Asia Kaczor of Southern California was the tournament MVP, while teammate Debora Seilhamer was tabbed Outstanding Libero.

It's a lame way to include a libero, cause they obviously don't feel a libero deserves any kind of recognition. At least that's the way I see it. Why waste a spot on a libero. I was pleasantly surprised that Florida's libero, Elyse Cusack, was named to the all tournament team opening weekend. There was no special libero award, she was just on the all tournament team. Of course, she should've been on the all tournament team again this weekend, but wasn't.

Either have a 7 member All-tourney team or a 6 selection team with a specific Libero award since it is such a specific position. I'd prefer the first with an understanding that one SHOULD be reserved for a libero UNLESS all libero's in the tourney suck!!!

I thought Jennings had some amazing digs in the UT vs. PSU match. Clearly, a force on the UT team.

What about PSU's blocking that's what kept them in the games in3-4-5?
