Does anyone know who the go-to guys are going to be for these teams. I know they lost some key players from last year, UCI lost Helinehi, Northridge lost Eckhart and UCSB lost Rivera and Koski. Who are going to step in and fill their shoes.

UCI- Jensen and Pelzel will carry the offensive load
Northridge- Nargi and maybe Niles will be their guys
UCSB- They have a young and inexperienced team, so they have to spread it around a bit to Kennedy, Belk and puerto rican.

I heard that Dane Jensen was injured in a freak incident off the court. Is there any news on that or his condition?
In case you don't know, there are two Jensen's. Dane is a freshman at UCSB and Jarret is a senior at UCI. They're brothers. Great talents, both of them. Nice parents.

None of them have anyone to replace what they lost. They'll all be hurting for a dependable hitter.

dane jensen is ok. He got hit by a bike skating to class in a rain storm. Chiped tooth ankle sprain - no worries

I don't think Kosky and Rivera can be replaced right away. They were both incredible to watch. It took them years to get that good and I don't think a freshman can come in and fill shoes that big. Especially after watching them beat UCLA in playoffs last year. Talk about talent mixed with experience.

I think these will be the starters for the 2003 CSUN men's team: Ty Tramblie - setter Nils Nielsen - OH J P Jandreau - OH Joe Nargi - OH(Coach Campbell - please use him as an OH instead of MB...he's more effective as an OH) Stan Douglas - MB Oyvind Boxaspen - MB Doug English - L These guys all played together last year with the exception of Walter Echardht(is that his last name?) no longer on the team...he was a senior. They played well together in spurts and I think they'll be a little better...we shall see in two months. what are the starting lineus going to bee for these teams? |

Mike kennedy and Aaron Mansfield and perhaps JC Zegarra are the only ones locked in the staring line up fo UCSB, however it won't be freshmen replacing Koski and Riv. there will be a frosh replacing britt galang the most under-reated setter in the nation last year though. In any case UCSB will remain the sweetest team around.
