yalebulldogs.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/091206aaa.htmlA 2-1 Yale (probably the best team in the Ivy League) is facing an 8-0 UConn tonight. Yale has All-Ivy senior Shannon Farrell, while UConn has freshman Devon Farrell. This sort of reminds me of the much hoped for (but never done) matchup between Kristin Richards and her sister Lauren. I don't recall when I've seen two sisters play against each other.

There was a thread on a sister-sister matchup last week. I think one of the Florida fans posted on watching the match, but didn't comment on whether the sisters brawled or kicked each other under the net.

yeah Angie and Mary McGinnis faced each other this weekend. There was no brawl, though Angie made a point to serve to her sister just about every time, a battle Angie won more often than not. They must've had 15 or 20 family and friends in the stands, decked out in half ISU/half UF garb. It was fun to watch.

I don't know if this would be like the ESPN commercial where the Manning family is being taken on a tour of the ESPN studio. Peyton and Eli Manning take turns popping each other in the back like siblings are known to do. www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/commercials/3265

Last year when Purdue played Iowa, the Vitali sisters were on the court at the same time. Not much of a deal, once it all got going.

What a cool last name.
I might just change my name to Miramontes
After I become a Pluton
Maybe it's time to change the p-dub to "A Pluton named Miramontes"

Pluton was the original proposal for how to reclassify Pluto.

Pluton was the original proposal for how to reclassify Pluto. Bogus. Pluton is a 'new word' for astronomists who stole it from geologists. A REAL pluton is defined: "a body of igneous rock that has crystallized from a molten magma below the surface of the Earth."

This Friday at Maples: The Fisher sisters, Kate representing Georgetown and Alex representing Stanford. Unfortunately they will not be facing each other in play as Alex is rehabbing and won't be on the court anticipating one of Kate's dumps. Hi George.

Well - apparently Yale defeated UConn in five hard-fought games, 30-24, 26-30, 28-30, 30-27, 15-11. I'm not making up the title: Yale Proves to be Top Dogs Bulldogs Beat Huskies In 5-game Thrilleryalebulldogs.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/recaps/091206aaa.htmlyalebulldogs.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/stats/2006-2007/yale0604.htmlUConn - Farrell, Devon 11 kills, 5 errors, 30 total attacks (.200 hitting), 15 digs, 1 block assist. Yale - Farrell, Shannon 21 kills, 10 errors, 64 total attacks (.172 hitting), 10 digs, 5 block assists.

Can't remember which year it was, but UOP won both years.
