... in four, -27. (-20), 26 and 25. Geez, Mr. R, gotta stay with your instincts unless you get some late inside info.

Nevada is one team that I haven't heard about for a long time. They've got a lot of hype the last couple years, I was wondering how they were doing this year.

San Jose State took Santa Clara to 5... Nevada has had some tough opening losses, but might be coming around?

San Jose State took Santa Clara to 5... Nevada has had some tough opening losses, but might be coming around? This emphasizes one of the problems with the objective numbers-oriented methods of predicting winners based on past performance: It does not factor in known rivalries. Santa Clara and San Jose State are, drum roll, playing for the king of Santa Clara County (Stanford having been disqualified for winning the title too frequently (read that as "all the time") in the past. In other words, SCU and SJSU have a real rivalry going on which cannot be objectified by numbers and should not be weighed as other matches in Pablo or other ratings systems. SJSU taking SCU to five and then losing in 4 to Nevada just punctuates that.
