Game 1 was one to forget, at least the first 2/3 of it. Florida was playing like crap, Bama was hitting and blocking ridiculously well and lead 21-18. They had 5.5 blocks at that point. they got 1 the rest of the match. Florida finally found their rhythm and from there on it was all Gators as they swept 30-28, 30-18, 30-17. Florida had 16 blocks in the match, led by Bowers with 10. They totally dominated the net after the slow start. Hampton had a really fine match. She didn't have a kill after game 1, ended up with 8 on .364, no errors with 11 digs and a few aces. Kisya was hitting well into negatives thru 1 1/2 games and had all but 1 of her errors in game 1, but ended up with 12 kills. Amber was putting the ball down with authority and really kept them in game 1 where she had 7 kills. Passing got better as the match went on, the players look more comfortable with one another. Kisya is pretty much gonna play all around until Elyse comes back. She's getting better, but at times she's still a liability back there. Next week should be a very difficult weekend, at Kentucky and then home vs. Tennessee.

Yeah I agree, game one was hard to watch but thankfully we got on track and rolled the Tide after the shaky start.

Next week should be a very difficult weekend, at Kentucky and then home vs. Tennessee. True, but having the UK game wednesday instead of friday helps make it a little easier... Is it possible SUN or FSN or somebody might pick the game up, or will it just be on that gatovision thing?

No, we play UK on Friday and no tv, just gatorvision Attendance will also be lower for the Tennessee match because of the soccer game going on.

I know from all her 04 press quotes that mary hates playing tennessee without having much time to prepare... And not that its a big sample size, but the statistics back it up... Both our regular season wins the last two years were on sunday, and both of florida's wins were on fridays. And the SEC tournament win was after only a day (IIRC) to prepare...
