...what the heck is a "310" kill? I was looking over the recap of the USC/UW match and it mentioned Taylor getting two "310" kills. I checked to see if that was the area code out there, but it wasn't. So, since I've clearly missed something somewhere, what are they talking about!?

It's the area code around western Los Angeles. I suppose it means the ball was hit so hard that it could have bounced all the way to the 310 area code.

Interesting. I came up with a "213" area code when I went to the USC Athletic Directory. I guess I didn't take into account the fact that this might not be the area code for the surrounding area. Thanks BearClause!

That's a very astute observation, Bearclause. I was wondering what "310" kill might have meant also. I thought since it was in reference to Carico's dumping on 2 it had to do w/ her turning her body (like not quite a 360 turn). USC area (as well as downtown LA) is "213" area code. "323" is Hollywood and other parts. "310" covers a lot of parts in Los Angeles (including Westwood, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills).

310 also covers Manhattan Beach, where Carico is from.

310 also covers Manhattan Beach, where Carico is from. Ahhh, that makes the most sense of all!
