Why hasn't Alex Dunphy signed yet at USC for women's volleyball? Is it because her father Marv in still deciding whether to take the USC men's job and Alex would get a free education without using one of Mick's scholarships if dad is the men's coach? That would make sense since Coach Douglas is only interim. Dunphy supposedly has until after the men's season to decide whether he wants the USC head job so it won't effect his Pepperdine team this year. That would give USC the best combo of men's and women's coaches in the country, STanford included. What is the story since USC has two women's seniors Lindquist and Killian and has signed a setter and libero, but no Dunphy. Let me know. P.S. We just won the Pac=10 title.

Trojancal, your quote implies to me that you have heard something more than rumor, is that true, or are you just trying to put 2+2 together? In other words, are you speculating or are you putting this up on a popular web site so all can read it with some sort of inside knowledge? This is a very important subject as it affects a lot of people's futures. Please give us more info on sources and what you know for sure, or if it is just idle speculation. Thanks. |

Alex Dunphy is walking on, that's it! The speculation of Marv moving is just that, speculation. Whether he "takes" the USC job will not affect Alex's scholarship situation. They do not have one for her, for THIS year. Who knows for the future.

Interesting notion. One wonders if this has something to do with the new Marv in Malibu. No running, soft on the weights, soft on players. Soft players. Not like past years when Coach Stork cracked the whip. The season is nigh and we shall see how Marv's new approach works. Could Marv be a lame duck?  |
