As st15 hypothesized earlier, it looks like Tracy Bellwood is off the team as she is no longer listed on the roster. That is a shame as she was the best defensive reserve we had and was having a pretty good season so far. She would also have been a likely candidate for libero next season after Colaluca graduates. I watched the MSU/Purdue match on TV last night and the announcers said she had the flu and was out for the weekend, don't know if it is related.
That was the first match I was able to see this season. From watching the game I thought Katie Johnson had a much worse game than she really did. She had 35 kills and hit for a pretty good percentage, but it seems like Schatzle player better from watching the match. Also, I was really impressed by Hohl, much improved over last season. She can hit really quickly. Vanessa King was also really good. She had many great kills. Her stats were dampened by the fact that she sent a lot of balls over that were saves from shuffles at the net, and it seemed like a few errors were her bailing the team out of extreme situations. Mischelle Nelson had two attempts that I remember, and played like a freshman at times. I would have liked to see what she can do. MSU is basically playing with two hitters in the front at all times, as the right side attach is nonexistent.
**modified the subject, sounded a little too ominous ;D
