Hildebrand is an 18 year old sophomore and Moreno is what, a 23 year old, senior.......give Tyler some time, he'll be much better than Moreno, and already is the best American setter playing collegiate volleyball.....surely is the FUTURE for the USA! Go Beach! hrm..i think Moreno is a 24 year old junior...

Go Beach! Read your team bio, Hildenbrand is 20. Still a noticable able difference. So, Carlos Moreno started college at an age where most guys are graduating. Admirable, but how does that age 21 rule for Div. 1 schools work that I just read on another thread? He didn't compete in anything that was "organized" from age 18 to age 21?

hrm..i think Moreno is a 24 year old junior... I believe you are correct with the age and certainly correct that he is a junior. Better than Moreno? I'll believe it when I see it. He may be the future of USA volleyball but that doesn't mean he will ever be better than Moreno--while in college (that is the debate, right?). I guess we can make arguments all we want but we won't know until their careers are over and can compare stats and results. Hopefully the MPSF and NCAA finals will give us a chance to compare them in head-to-head competition. As an American and fan of volleyball, I hope Tyler does grow into a comparable setter to Moreno because that will be good for the USA. It is good to see an American-born setter do as well as he is doing.

frankly I don't give a rats ass about Moreno, why? cause he is a foreigner who will play for someone else, not the USA.......maybe you have a difficult time comprehending my patriotism!

Hey Beachman
I think Tyler has alot more upside over Moreno. I'll get into that at a later post. I also think highly of other setters such Hansen at Stanford. I also think their are some good ones coming up the ranks in Beckwith, Winder, and UCI setter(which I can't remember his name right now). Some of the current setters should have pretty good careers in the the Beach Circuit such as Tramble and Tuyay.
