Awesome match with the teams tied at the break. St Marys lost game 3 32-30, but won game 4 by the same score. They started game 5 with a 5-0 run and eventually won 15-8 after LMU lost 3 points due to a rotation error.
Great match.....more than a few volleys that saw the ball cross the net 10+ times with bombs being hit by both teams. A scarry moment when Sandy Krone went down mid game 4 with a twisted ankle, but she would later return to play.

I really think Walsh needs to be setting LMU. She does set a quicker ball to the outside, letting them hit one-on-one more often. SHe just runs a quicker offense all around. I think Dutro is holding that team back some against good competition.

St Marys did a nice job taking away the middle attack. LMU used it early and often until SMC changed the lineup to allow some of thier better blockers to match up against Krone and Motton. Once they figured that out it was up to Day and Reneau to get it done.
Day never got started hitting .097 and after looking at some of the stats, I have to wonder what game the statistician was looking at!! SMC basically blocked LMU off the court and it really took them out of thier game in the 5th when SMC had 5 blocks in a row fall for points. It lists 21 team blocks, but I think there were more......
