Holy Smokes, this is ugly volleyball! I'm watching on tv, and there must be about a kazillion overpasses through two games. Miami especially looks horrible. Is FSU just playing down to Miami, or are they both this bad all the time? I thought the ACC was better.
Maybe the kids are just nervous because of TV. Yes, I'm fully expecting game 3 to be much better.

The ACC is pretty bad this year. I was watching some of game 2 and I just had to turn it off it was so bad. That was not volleyball.

For a while I thought you said Miami vs FIU. I was having flashbacks about this weekend's "festivities" at the Orange Bowl.

Let me guess, Michell is hitting everything into the net? Seriously, the girl is 6'4" and has the arm strength of an NFL QB and she can't kill anything.

Oh please There is a lot more to volleyball than the top 10 of NCAA division 1. I must be weird. I like to watch the lower divisions play. I'd be going to my local high school this weekend if I were in town. I dare you to go to a junior high game and tell the kids there, who are playing their hearts out, that what they are playing "is not volleyball." It's one thing to say that it is not good enough quality volleyball for you to be interested in it. But to suggest that "it is not volleyball" is an insult to the hundreds of thousands of kids who are not good enough to play at a top-tier division 1 school.

I agree, p-dub. But I have seen ACC teams play much much better. Like I said, maybe they were just nervous. They obviously enjoy playing each other - 5 games again.

Contrary to what you may think, I'm not a volleyball snob. I've watched a lot of volleyball over the years. Were you watching game 2? It was not volleyball. Believe me, I've watched bad volleyball before, but this went beyond that.

I have nothing against those kids but personally its not exciting to me. I went to a local high school match last year...I think it was a district tournament match, I don't remember. Anyways, it was so sloppy, I think the longest rally consisted of 7 touches...5 were digs. The only reason I stayed was because I was sitting with the students there and they were really crazy so they made it fun.
