The Tigers continued to demonstrate marked improvement, but a loss is a loss no matter what the score. "At some point we're kind of tired of moral victories," Wade said. "We want to win." This is the last match of the season between Pacific and Cal State Northridge, second to their last home match for this month for CSUN and tonight's match is free to everyone. After two tough losses to UCSB and Cal Poly I hope CSUN has gotten over those matches and are really ready to play and win against UOP. It's a must-win important match for CSUN. This match will certainly not be the same way as it turned out when CSUN went up to Stockton and defeated UOP in three. It's gonna be a close one and I expect(not hope) CSUN to win this match again - be nice to see them sweep another Big West school. If CSUN wants to win they better come out aggressive in offense, defense and serve the god d*mn friggin ball over the net. Most of all it be a great morale and crowd pleaser for CSUN to go for loose balls - balls that are within their reach and playable instead of just giving up and letting it drop down to the floor. Oh yeah CSUN - cover your hitters! Good luck Matadors! -let's see: 1. CSUN wins in 5 2. CSUN wins in 3 3. CSUN wins in 4 4. UOP wins in 5 5. UOP wins in 4 6. UOP wins in 3

A little bit more than an hour ago the match between these two teams was completed. One school ended their losing streak and the other one had another loss.
Scores for the match is 30-20, 31-29 and 30-24.
The Matadors defeated the Tigers.
Good job CSUN.

Ouch. That has to be a disappointment for Pacific. Pablo rankings aside (and the coaches there don't pay too much attention to Pablo, as it is), they had to think this would have been a match they could win. Yeah, they are very, very young, and playing with a makeshift lineup, but 20 matches in, they should be beyond the "no experience" stage and should start improving.
I know the coaches were not happy with the performance against UCSB on Saturday, but saw better things against Cal Poly on Thursday. Unfortunately, it looks like the team that lost to UCSB showed up last night.
