Remember that Emillie Toone from the #9 university of Utah is leading the nation right now in blocks per game at 6'7. So she's #1 on the blocking list now.

It's Nana Meriwether hands down! When you consider overall presence on the court; impact on her team and impact on the game, no other middle comes close to her! If you take her off UCLA's team they are not close to the same competitively; if you take any of the other's mentioned off their team their team doesn’t change much if any!! She should be national player of the year. The other players are very good and I mean no slight to any of them, but Nana is the best right now!

She is fun to watch though, but I still like Foluke.

Foluke is awesome, but I voted for Meriwether. Foluke needs to learn how to snap her wrist.

There all great but I would take Harmotto first because of the intangibles she brings that I don't think the others do.. Christa plays harder, is more charasmatic, and is also the team leader.

How can you say she plays harder? All these girls play hard, they all put all their heart into it. Not one of these girls plays harder than the other.

I'm sure they all play hard, but im also sure some of them play harder than others. That doesnt means the others arnt trying or are being lazy or anything though...

I think Meriwether is having the best season. She has just had some dominant matches against very good teams. I might be accused of being a homer, but I think that Taylor Reineke of Wisconsin isn't far from being worthy of consideration with the others here. Her offensive numbers aren't as impressive as some of the players here, but she is leading the Big Ten in blocks at about 1.7 per game overall and more than that in conference play only. She has really taken some good hitters out of their game this season (okay, she has done it to people at times the last two years as well).

I saw Nana hit a ball at UW her first year at UCLA the was just crazy. I swear she hit it above 11 feet to about the 3 foot line. Haven't seen her play live this year but she gets my vote for that one swing.

I would say Foluke and Nana are neck and neck. But I would give the nod to Nana because her blocking skills are a bit better right now.

^Foluke is good, but she is no Nana, not even close.
Too many homers on this board (including me), but I can't deny Nana's upswing.
