sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/dave_krider/10/31/klineman.ptp/index.html?section=si_latestHere's a snippet on the $64,000 question. Klineman still is considering five colleges: UCLA, Washington, Texas, Hawaii and Stanford. The early signing period is Nov. 8-15. "I'm pretty sure I'll sign then," she said. "I really don't know yet. Every time I think I've figured it out, I begin liking another school more." So it just looks like she's still having trouble making up her mind, we'll see if she actually signs in a few weeks, or waits until the spring.

I have this feeling that she won't choose Stanford. I hope she does. But the waiting thing is not in our favor. i.e. pavan, hodge...

My 3 favorite Schools are in the race for her decision. Hawai'i, Stanford, and Texas... now I really don't see her going to Texas because they will be stacked next year with Darium leaving and Juliann Faucette (6'2 OH) will be coming in. Stanford on the other hand will mostlikely get her because Richards is leaving which leaves the other OH position open. But they have Licht or whatever her name is coming in next season? or put Erin Waller OH? Washington will not need her cause all but one OH is returning for next season and what they would really need is a setter...? Hhmmm...................................................................................... But UCLA has Daliey and Sather which will make a really good combo for them next year........ So then that leaves Hawai'i............ ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Is it a Deal or.................... ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?? No Deal.............. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

I can't believe someone would wait this long to choose Stanford either. I mean it's either a no-brainer or you want something else.
I'm pulling for UW or Hawaii. Anything to spread the wealth -- even if the wealth is being spread amongst billionaires.

I don't think it will matter about who they have returning, she will start, where ever she goes.

It would be really nice if she came to washington, then we could move Mo to RS and have Klineman/Mussie/Collymore at OH. Not a bad group of hitters at all.
But I don't know UW's chances of landing her...

My guess--she wants to go to WA, parents want her to go to Stanford.

We do have a highly regarded setter coming in from Ohio by the name of Jenna Hagglund.

My guess--she wants to go to WA, parents want her to go to Stanford. I'm mostly scared that she wants to stay close to the beach... Or a beach that you can play on year round.

Hey, well we have alki beach in the summer and the indoor beach facility in north seattle for the winter. I'm sure she won't mind. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Maybe, she does love the warm weather after all. My (biased) guess is that her heart is in Hawaii, but like others have said mom and dad want her to go to Stanford.

As a hitter, I would pick a program where I knew the setter for the next few years was top notch. As a setter, I would pick a program where I knew the hitters were fast, versatile, and low error.
Let's assume for a moment that I am Alix Klineman (which of course according to VolleyTalk rules I'm prohibited from actually confirming, although I can tell you that I am not her mother).... Out of the five schools I'm considering, which will have the best setter in 2007/2008. UCLA? Washington? Texas? Hawaii? Stanford?
Isn't it interesting that all of these programs have setters who are near the end of their eligibility, which means their replacements are unproven high schoolers? What's a #1 recruit to do?
