Three of Rutgers' best players last year were seniors. They will have some early growing pains this year, as shown at the Concordia tourney. I don't know anything about the new players for the coming season.

Ryan Stuntz may or may not have deserved to be an All-American in some people's eyes but coaches voted for him to get that award. The coaches that vote for All-Americans are made up from the MPSF, MIVA, and EIVA. The true test I believe for Stuntz is if he can keep playing the way he did last year and repeat as All-American he will really help his team. On the other side, if the award goes to his head then his team will suffer with passing this year. The season will tell the story and we will see whether or not he is a true All-American.

All righty then. This is the story. Lewis is the bomb. What don't they have. They have an all around attack out of Fabiano Barreto and Gustavo Meyer. Let me remind you, one is left side the other is right side. Coming at you from both sides, that is definitely a plus. There not much I can tell you about them cause they are definitely a household name. Then with James Elsea and Kevin Miller in the middle. Some huge blocks. Expect good stuff out of them. Not to mention JR Martins. All I can say is damn, nice sets. Please don't forget about my good friend Ryan "the Clutcher" Stuntz. For those morons who forgot the MIVA stands for MIDWEST Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. So for those flashing the westside signs, Lewis is part of it (I myself am partial to the East Coast for those of you who are wondering). Stuntz will play big against anyone. Even the UCLA's and Hawaii's. Don't undermine his ability to dig the crap out of Pena and Jonathan Acostas. Oh ya, that All American (Libero of the Year) plaque looks great in his room. The other threats come from some good outside hitter attacks in two strong sophomores Victor Bird and Jeff Soler. They will hurt you when you least expect it. Hey if anyone is thinking about taking out Ryan Stuntz, don't worry JJ, the Puerto Rican assassin, plays a mean libero position. The depth on this team shows that Dave Deuser is a coach who knows his volleyball. You may think, how does Deuser get guys from all over (cali, puerto rico, brazil, mexico, virginia, florida). Well lets just say he does a damn good job in recruiting. So for those of you coach's (not to mention any, well ok, ohio state and probably some other mad MIVA coaches) who are thinking about a way to stop Lewis from competing, I believe all of the cracks are filled, so stop wasting your time and concentrate on your own teams and how to stop the Lewis Flyers.
Thank you very much,
Eastside

Don't be "Dishin" by Boy Ryan Stuntz. He's just another So. Cal GUY who decided to play for someone who needed him. At the Outrigger in Hawaii, he showed us what he was made of. HE DUG NAILS IN THAT TOURNAMENT. Plus, he was on the Hawaii Side at the NCAA Final Four cheering with the Hawaii Fans. My Boy Ryan even hung out with us at the Manhattan Six Man. Here are my top five liberos:
1. Ryan Stuntz, Lewis - Played Big in Big Games 1. Ricky Mattai, Penn State - Most Talented 2. Adam Shrader, Most Fundamentally Sound 3. Aaron Mansfield, UCSB - Might be UCSB MVP 4. Ben Brockman, Seaside VB, San Diego, CA (Best Passer in the JO's All American)
Special Note: Hawaii might be the best passing team in the Country. The Best Passer in the Country in Eyal Zemet. Costas, Tuyay, and Ching are also great passers and backrow players. Watch out for Matt Motter, he is a great passer.
Best passing teams: (1) Hawaii (2) PSU (3) UCLA (4) BYU (5) Lewis THE TEAMS THAT PASS WELL WILL BE THE SUCCESSFUL TEAMS.
