Anyone attend who can comment whether the Huskers were more of a team, or were there issues between Pavan and Holloway again?

I watched the live feed. It seems Mancouso is really struggling. ISU was very impressive, quick offense and blocked very well. Cyclone freshman setter, Manns, has really improved. ISU proved that they are a very good team and should get into the tourney this year, and that Nebraska is very beatable. Three of the four games could have gone either way.

If the Dani's play poorly, NU is very beatable. Mancuso hit for negative and Busboom struggled on serve receive and on defense.

I watched that Oklahoma game and saw several positive moments between Pavan and Holloway also. For example when Holloway had her solo block, Pavan was as excited as anyone. Also both Cook and the announcers were commenting that Holloway was struggling that evening. It's very possible that Holloway was more angry at herself and was internalizing a lot of things. Just one of those nights. If you didn't know Pavan, Holloway, Griffin, and Schwartz are roommates. I don't know if they get to pick their roommates (beings they aren't freshman) but it tells me that they do have somewhat of a close bond. In fact when asked what her roommates and her do during their free time, she (Pavan) giggled and said: "oh we love to sit around and do puzzles" (seriously), I guess you could say we're a bunch of nerds" In this weeks show they did a spotlight on Holloway and she names Pavan along with her other two roommates as her best friends. "we just hang out downstairs, watch a lot of TV, eat popcorn, go to movies"Typical college stuff.

I wouldn't say 3 out of the 4 games could have gone either way. I was at the match last night and NU had a fairly large lead in games 3 & 4 until lSU came back to make it close. It was more of some relaxed play by the Huskers who let ISU back into the game late each time. One has to give ISU credit because they fought right to the end in every game.

I don't think it was a good day for ISU athletics, though. They shouldn't have scheduled the press conference to dump McCarney during the volleyball match. Actually, they shouldn't have dumped McCarney at all. I hope Jamie Pollard (the actual former AD at Wisconsin while Alvarez was still coaching) knows what he is doing dumping his football and basketball coaches. If not, he should be on his way out in a few years. He did make a good hire with Christy, but that isn't what brings in the money, unfortunately.

But I get your drift.
