BYU found a loop hole in the NCAA rules to make Hillman eligible for the season and BYU will end up winning the NCAA title for the 3rd straight year of controversy.
If someone can prove that the new MB Baptista did play pro volleyball before BYU, then BYU will join Hawaii and likely Lewis in forfeiting NCAA titles and bring more of a 'black eye' to the sport. 27-year olds like Hillman at BYU and Martens at Lewis should not be playing college volleyball, but rather should just be in pro leagues.
Long Beach State is the best legit team in the country and I hope they can find a way to win the title in Hawaii to avoid 3 straight years of the men's volleyball going downhill in the college ranks.

IT WILL BE THE 4TH STRAIGHT YEAR OF CONTROVERSY. BYU'S title from 2001 should be vacated because Passoa was on that team, and everyone knows he played pro before he attended BYU.

Oh please go cry to someone else. If your Bruins can't win they can't win. BYU is following the rules to the best of their ability. Pessoa has been playing for 4 straight years. If you want to throw crap go play in a manure pile. Your complaints and accusations are in vain. If they find players inelligible, they will bench them. BYU won't do something wrong if they think it is wrong or have reason to believe it with valid evidence. They don't want to forfeit a championship anymore than anyone else. On a more jubilant note, there will be some great volleyball in LA this weekend. I wish CSTV would pick up the games. I hope we get some good reports on it.

They did what they are told to do by the NCAA. They went through their Compliance people. If they cleared it then what else are they going to do?

Wow, that was original. Where did you reference that from? Is that how Webster defines "be a man" in the dictionary? They have nothing to report. They did what they are required to do. It is done in their minds. If the NCAA feels otherwise, let them decide. You think the coaches are getting on this site and listening to you? Write them a letter if you are so concerned. Don't bug me about it. I am on this site to talk about volleyball, why is it always about allegations? Let's talk about VOLLEYBALL people.

They have nothing to report. They did what they are required to do. After you take your head out of the BYU sand...read "BYU IS GOING DOWN" and Bruinboy. But I am sure you already have... IMO there is no spin-control like BYU spin-control.

It was fun to look over those archives, though it was never in question or hidden how many years he played club ball. Someone mentioned well at the begining of the season that because of his age he had played 4 years at UVSC, 2 year mission, red shirt and this is his second at BYU.
I won't lie, even I think it is ridiculous but it isn't up to us.

Can someone clarify why John Mills of Penn State lost his eligibility in 2002 for playing (2 yrs. San Diego State Div 1; One year San Diego State Club; and One year Penn State Div 1) and Hillerman loses nothing. I think Penn State got screwed on that ruling and lost their Number one middle blocker that year.

There's no out-of-control like BYU-accusations out-of-control. You people need to get out more. All that matters is what the NCAA says, IF they even say anything. No one gives a rat's about what anyone on here thinks except the person that writes it. Can someone please tell me where can I go on this sight to discuss volleyball? This is ridiculous.
