So, here is just a question for clarification, not trying to start another drag out kick the dead horse even into it's reincarnated life to death arguement, but since this has been brought out about HIllman....does this mean that techniqually, Gustavo could go to a college that has a club team, say like St. Xavier University in chicago for 4 years, switch back to either a NAIA college or become a morman and to to BYU for his remaining year? and still play? Just out of curiousity how many years of college does Hillman have? How many scholarships has he recieved? But seriously, is this an option for Gustavo?

Was that a joke? Jokes are supposed to be funny.

BYU?? of course! They will let anybody play. As long as your program doesn't self-report.
That was the Lewis problem.

Benwhip'd:
I was going to suggest that Gustavo look into a club program. From what I understand, there are like 300 to choose from around the country.

Red, please understand that I enjoy laughing almost more than I enjoy volleyball. That is why I changed my name:o) Even if I don't agree with different things that programs are doing, I'd rather be able to laugh about it all because there is not a dang thing I can do about it. Just like this whole joke of this 9/11 thing in the news. There wasnt' anything we could do to prevent, all's that is going on is milion and million of our tax money being wasted. Blaim the terrorist. Period. but since that isn't going to happen....let's blame Bush or Dr. Rice.....why because that is easier and gives us more to talk about. Actually I was asking the question of where Gustavo might be eligible, I know he hates not playing. The rest.....banter....some might have smiled at it and that is what I was going for....the smile....the little smirk...the little laugh......if you didn't....am I sorry....no, because you are over stressed ) relax and laugh. Here's a little joke for those of you who are overstressed> A panda bear walks into a bar and orders a sandwich. After eating the sandwich, he pulls out a gun and shoots the waitress and starts to walk out of the door. The bartender yells at the Panda bear and say, "Hey, what the heck do you think you are doing?" The Panda looks at the bartender and say."Get over it, that's what I do. Look it up if you don't believe me". The bartender still shocked by the whole ordeal, pulls out out a dictionary and looks up Panda bear. After reading it, he looks at the closest patron and says, "I'll be a monkey's uncle, he was right. Look right there under Panda: Panda type of bear that lives mostly in Australia. Eats shoots and leaves. I know that had nothing to do with volleyball.... ) I won't post another so save all your posting about how we need to stick to volleyball topics here )

I've heard the bears and countries interchanged as many times as I've heard that joke. Maybe I'm just looking too far into it.

Overstressed it putting it lightly. That is still a good joke no matter how many times I hear it. I just didn't like the use of Mormon in the context of that type of joke since Joe has been vindicated. Use BYU, leave the religion out of it. Maybe that's funny to some but I didn't find it funny. Of course I won't tell you what to do, I just am letting you know it's not funny to me.
Isn't Gustavo on the Mexican Ntl. team? I would think he would continue to play on that team wouldn't he? NIRSA ball probably wouldn't even be fun for him because he is so talented. He was incredible in the Final Four last year. I feel lucky to have seen him play there last year.
vb-could you clarify your last sentence so it makes sense please? As long as whose program doesn't self-report?

Gustavo was a member of the Mexican Youth or Junior (depending on which article you are reading) National Team.
