Thanks for clarifying that about me, BIK! Hmm, who could this person be? I could help you BIK on turning this person in. My resources are far-reaching!! Have you noticed, hwy101, that we both have the same number of posts? Don't post an answer; just nod your head.

Florida's O'Connell Center is a multipurpose facility. Men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics all use that portion of the arena. Volleyball has always had their own court, separate from the basketball court. They change it out everytime they play. Stanford isn't hard up for cash, they could do it. Last I heard, Stanford was heading towards a sports court. Gosh, I hope not. keep the ugly taped lines if that's the case. Sport court is awful

A few questions to ask. 4 years ago this happened and only now you come up with this? Does this poster still post here? Are you going to forever feel you were part of the blame for Hawaii's loss against Stanford? And finally, were these taped matches full matches or just highlighted clips?
And just to add, Willoughby's best performance IMO was during the Hawaii verses G-Tech 5 games match. She was playing out of her mind that night. I still wished I had taped it.

Last I heard, Stanford was heading towards a sports court. I heard they were building it out of the unfulfilled dreams of volleyball fans everywhere. (This message sponsored, in part, by BASTA! "If it's Cardinal, It's a Sin.")

How many people have sent out tapes and gone either unthanked or gone w/o receiving any sort of compensation (for cost of mailing)? Probably a lot. The one time I sent out a tape of the international vball matches that I had to someone in Hawaii, I didn't receive so much as a thank you or any follow up. It was annoying. Anyhow, is sport court harder on your body? Somebody's probably covered this on another thread, but I was just curious.

Someone on this site, who I can no longer remember, said they were going to send me a copy of the Hawaii-Stanford match. I never received anything, so that's why I never sent a thanks email. I did say thanks though when they offered to send it in the first place. Just don't want anyone out there pissed at me for thinking I'm ungrateful. Are you going to forever feel you were part of the blame for Hawaii's loss against Stanford? And finally, were these taped matches full matches or just highlighted clips? I have always lived with the bitterness of that transaction, every now and again, that memory rears its ugly head. The trigger this time was Klineman's commitment to the Cardinal. The poster doesn't post anymore but I know he/she is still here, lurking on the board, waiting for another opportunity to commit the same heinous act. Short answer to question 2, yes. These were full matches, a seasons worth of matches in their entirety. And just to add, Willoughby's best performance IMO was during the Hawaii verses G-Tech 5 games match. She was playing out of her mind that night. I still wished I had taped it. Kim had a lot of exceptional performances for Hawai'i, that match against G-Tech was one of many but she did turn the tide late in game 2 for the Wahine. As Kele Eveland said after the match..."She was a woman amongst girls."

Those I have sent tapes to in the past, and they include many who still post here on VT, have always been thankful, and I have been compensated in numerous ways. As for your tape-sending experience, it's too bad you weren't properly thanked. That person does not wear the badge of aloha.

BiK, look on the bright side: if Hawaii hadn't lost to Wisconsin in 2004, you would have even more reason to dislike Stanford. ;D

I'll never give Wisconsin credit for that 2 point 5 game victory. The Badgers needed the help of their fans, the selection committee, the injury bug, jet lag, and a senior who for one match played above and beyond her level of ability, to eek out the win. That was a travesty of monumental proportions.

I gave BIK $6 for the Stanford-Hawaii match.
I have given others $20 for a set of 4 matches. Some less, others more.
I have given someone in Canada $5 (I think).
Others, I have offered compensation but they declined, often insisting that I name my next baby after them. Like, why would I want to give my newborn baby a name like "vbfan819"?
Usually, I ask what people what they want for the tapes/DVDs and I comply because I think most people are reasonable. No real negotiation. $10? Okay. It's in the mail. But my generosity will only go so far if I sense people are trying to take advantage of the situation.
