I thought Baylor would put up a challenge to the Huskers.

With the win, Nebraska clinches at least a share of the Big 12 Championship, their 9th Conference title in the 11 years of its existence.
Nice to see the Huskers have a very solid afternoon, in all phases. 55 digs while the offense ran like a well-oiled machine. They hit .450 with Sarah Pavan leading the way with 23 kills (.528 attack%).
Passing wasn't outstanding, but now I'm just nitpicking.

Are the LiveStats right or did Nebraska really only have 4 blocks for the match?

Are the LiveStats right or did Nebraska really only have 4 blocks for the match? They're right. Not sure why that was. Nebraska and Baylor are 2 of the top 3 blocking teams in the Big 12, but only combined for 7 in the match. Maybe they both game-planned around the other's block.

Nebraska's serve really took Baylor out of any offensive rhythm so most of their attacks were just sort of lollypops over the top of the blocks. That made them very easy to dig which is why we had so many more than them.
NU really shut down Young also. I think she only got about four kills. Taylor Barnes was very impressive for Baylor though. She's a 5-11 lefty setter with a real hammer for an arm when she attacks and serves. She's only a freshman and will really do some damage during her career.
Lason really drug the team hitting average down today. She only hit .393 with 11 kills and no errors. Brought the team average down to .450.

She had 8 kills and 0 errors until well into the third game but ended up with 10 kills and 2 errors. The entire team only had 8 errors in all three games.

That is a pretty impressive showing against anyone, let alone a team with some talent. Why the afternoon match? They should have made the basketball team play then because they are lower on the totem pole due to their lack of winning. Are they trying to pack the house tonight so they can maybe finally beat Creighton?

No need to "try and pack the house" since enough Creighton fans bought tickets to fill the upper half of the Devany. I'm expecting Creighton to win, but will hope for a surprising strong showing from our new look Huskers. We'll see how Doc Sadler (new NU coach) approaches his first NU/Creighton game.
