And Nebraska shocks the world! Okay, maybe just eastern neb. But they beat Creighton. Way to go Huskers!
BTW, how 'bout Sarah Pavan for Big 12/National POW?!?
46 kills to only 7 errors and a .557 attack% in sweeps over Texas A&M and Baylor.

Once you add in her 7 service aces also, I'd say she's a lock.

Pavan's serve was like wow! Maybe she got tired of being taken out? :-) Huskers look smooth, efficient and most important, low error! I'm anxious for the Texas match!! I get a funny feeling that the Huskers won't be hosting the first weekend----not sure why. I know we wouldn't be the first to travel.

If NU hits that well and defends like that they will win it all. They hit balls 12 feet over the net and a foot from the endline. Baylor ran into a machine. Breyfogle and Barnes (freshmen) playes great but the 2 OH (freshmen)played terrible. They both hit .400 against KU but couldn't hit the ball in the Coliseum. Baylor served really well but NU hit out of system like an olympic team.

Baylor did have the best group of servers I have seen. Not any one was the best individually but as a group, they really were nailing their serves. Barnes has a rather unorthodox approach but you sure can't argue with her effectiveness.
For a young team, Baylor did pretty well this year. They will still be young next year with all the new freshmen coming in but this current crop should be more consistent next season.

I agree. Baylor will be a power next year. However there are still two games left, Colorado and OU and winning both of those the Bears should be consider very highly to NCAA. Nebraska was outstanding today, if they keep playing like this I see them winning the National Cahmpionship.

I still think that just one more win makes Baylor a good bubble team but we will see. The story for Baylor was that LeBlanc hit .500 with 11 kills and no errors. Nebraska better do a better job defending the right side before someone makes them pay. But Nebraska's defense looked good enough in this game to get them to Omaha in a few weeks if the team can stay that motivated.

For your infomation on Cook's show tonight he stressed that against Baylor that NU was setting up to stop the left side attack where Sanders had a big night in the first match and also NU was setting up to stop Desiree Guilliard-Young. In the process LeBlanc was left alone for the most part so she ended up having a decent night.

11 kills in 3 games with no errors against Nebraska is more than a "decent" night no matter what gameplan they were running. At 6'2" and with her speed Larson should be able to set a successful block. In my opinion her low blocking numbers are what keep Larson from being POY material.
