LBSU’s Crimes Earns Third Weekly Honor Of The Season
Alexis Crimes 11/20/2006
After an explosive performance at the net, Long Beach State's Alexis Crimes nabbed her third Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor, for the week ending Nov. 19. The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native claimed her previous two honors back on Sept. 11 and Oct. 16.
In the 3-1 win over Cal State Northridge, Crimes posted a .400 hitting percentage and collected six block assists. Two days later the 6-3 middle blocker guided the 49ers to their 12th Big West win of the season after an error-free performance at Pacific. In the 49er-Tiger showdown, she went 17-for-25 for a .680 clip and added two block assists.
In the 49ers' two wins Crimes sizzled offensively, registering a .508 hitting percentage while averaging 5.29 kills per game.
Long Beach State returns to action this week as they host the Baden Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. The 49ers face Virginia Comonwealth Friday, followed by Albany and Western Michigan Saturday.

She better start guiding fast and furious. Unlike Sanja Tomasevic, she can't stay in college forever!
