I believe UCLA and Wash have identical Pac 10 records and split head to head. Why wouldn't UCLA be seeded higher, with a much better non-conference showing? I think they beat (make that hammered) Florida and Hawaii, while Washington beat Wisconsin and lost to Tx. I would like to see UW pay a little for some of the teams they played early.

I think UCLA will be seeded higher for several reasons:
1. They split so its basically a wash. 2. How you finish towards the end has more bearing and is fresher in the minds of voters and the selection and committee. 3. Two of UCLA's 3 losses are to the same team, (the probable 2nd seed overall) 4. And as you mentioned UCLA's first 15 matches were on the road, which includes matches against Hawaii and Florida, while Washington had a much easier pre-conference schedule, traveling wise and team wise.
The better question is who should be seeded higher between USC and Washington?

UCLA will probably be seeded above Washington. Washington has one thing going for them: they actually won 9 of their last 10 matches while UCLA won 8. They have identical conference records, but UCLA has the better overall record and they rank higher in R(K)PI: #2 vs. #10.
Whaddaya know, UW really did finish third in the Pac-10, just like the Pac-10 preseason poll predicted.
USC has the same overall record as Washington and a higher RKPI (#6 vs #10 as of last week). Their conference record has one more loss and they went 7-3 in the last 10 matches vs. 9-1. So I'd expect UW to be seeded higher. Of course the committee may fudge things to make the brackets work out.

Washington lost to Texas and beat Ohio....never played Wisconsin in the AVCA tourney. UCLA should get the higher seed. Outside of Ohio, Washington doesn't have any impressive wins. UCLA has Florida and Hawaii......not a whole lot better, but it is better.

I really don't think it matters much as one will be the #4 overall seed, probably UCLA and the other the #5 overall seed, probably Washington.

UCLA did not "hammer" Florida. One must choose one's verbs carefully, otherwise language becomes meaningless.

I would love a UCLA-Florida rematch. Although it would have to be at Florida, which is hardly fair to UCLA. But if UCLA's a #1, they're going to have a tough regional final wherever it is (assuming they make it to the final).
