Beach fans should take this as a compliment. This just shows that Misty is simply the standard by which setters who have come after her are compared too... Relax a little folks, Jordan didn't say that KK was exactly like or better than Misty ... in the end, it's all just a subjective opinion anyway .... That said, I don't entirely agree with Jordan's comments about how both setters can dominate a match. With Misty it was obvious, she could impose her will on a match -- she was an offensive threat, she jump-served, and opposing teams had to adjust their defenses around her. With KK, her affect on a match is more subtle -- she instead allows her hitters the chance to control things. For what it is worth, Long Beach recruited her very heavily.....Debbie was extremely high on her talent and her potential.....we would have loved to have seen her play at LBS....Hawaii should be proud of her, home grown, and damned good!

Well, I think it says a lot about KK to be compared to Misty May (and King Kong and Karch Kiraly).
For what it's worth, they both have identical foot and toe/toenail structures.
