I was lucky enough to have a 6-hour layover, which was extended to 11-hours in Sea-Tac airport this past weekend, while there, I saw the Coug volleyball team returning from California.
We stopped and talked to a few players and asked how they did (as I am too poor to be a travelling tekky), they said they lost but were quick with excuses that they were a very young team.
I was a little disappointed in that, as I have been impressed with Washington State's rebuilding efforts this past year and think that, yes, while they are young, and as I could really tell in the airport, undersized, they are a solid core of a solid rebuilding campaign.
Cougars, if you're reading this, don't make excuses, you're doing fine. The only grief I've seen this year sent the way of the Cougs is from pissed off parents whose daughters couldn't cut it or didn't have the right attitude. Keep up the good work WSU.
