We are running out of current players who could say they were interviewed by Rollshot.com... this year's class marks the last playing days of Rollshot interviewees:
Kanoe Kamana'o Cayley Thurlby Kari Gregory Ashley Nu'u Amber Nu'u Amanda McCormack
among a slew of others
It has been just shy of 4-years since Rollshot shut down, They lasted about 15-months from some of the first interviews.
Pity.

Whenever I want to revist and interview, I just pop a CD into my CD drive, and there it is, woo hoo!

It's only about a 50-MB file... why the CD?

Top-level volleyball programs learned from Rollshot.com that press credentials and the rules about "off the record" material that they help to enforce are as least as important for new media as they are for traditional print media.

I would love to read a few of the articles if anybody has any they wouldn't mind sending a link to.

I would love to read a few of the articles if anybody has any they wouldn't mind sending a link to. There were some cached articles on the 'net for a while, but not sure if they're still available. There were even a couple of links posted here before.

Yeah, it is the last playing days of the girls listed above. There are several still for next year, the year after, and I think one more... depending on redshirt eligibility. Sheesh... and you claim your Stanford education is all that...

The legitimate press won't cover volleyball the way it should be covered. (Nebraska and Hawaii are exceptions) Of course, these are the peeps with "legitimate" press credentials.
And it's not just volleyball. Start-ups won't get access to players and coaches (of any "minor" sport) because they don't have "legitimate" press credentials. It's okay. They'll cover the programs that are willing to take the risk to expose their sport to the masses.
I am, of course, speaking generally.
This goes to show that anyone can do anything if they set their mind to it. rollshot.com was the LEAST of their "risky" projects. A mere 15-month experiment. There are other experiments on a larger scale going on right now by the rollshot.com doofs.
Thanks much.

Don't think so.
