Dude! I LOVE the Silver Surfer. All hail the Power Cosmic! Yeah, if we can just keep that bastard Galactus in check, we'll be alright.

Looks like Lynch and Britenriker are in a competition to see who can have the worst match.

Well, if it comes down to the middles neutralizing each other and it is a battle of the OHs, as a Purdue fan, I'll take it. Especially with Merlau hitting .480

Wow, Purdue was down 26 - 23 in game 3 and ripped off 7 straight.
Not a surprise, it was Dildine serving.
When I saw her coming into the rotation, I knew this would be their chance, and she did it!
Way to go, Boilers!
Now prepare for next week!

Dildine has 19 digs for the second night in a row. Merlau with 17 kills and 10 digs
Lynch with 5 kills (no errors) in game 3. Britinriker gets 3 kills, 3 errors. Britenriker won the "who can do worse" competion.
After 43 kills hitting over .500 for the Kentucky middles last night, tonight they get 15 kills between them, and hit .114. I knew it would be harder
Marlau and Mader conbine for 30 kills, hitting .333
Fisher gets 14 kills for UK, but hits .227

Way to go, Boilers! Now prepare for next week! That is serious clutch!! You should know, however, that Dildine has one of the best serves in the Big Ten (among the best in the country, I would guess). It is not uncommon for her to rip off big strings of points. When she is not hitting into the net, she is as good as they come. You have to be ready for her on every serve. If you let up at all, you are going to get yourself into trouble. The top teams can do it, but they have to work at it. I've seen weaker opponents (Clemson, Albany) crumble the first time it comes at them. Not saying that UK crumbled or anything, just that she is tough and if you aren't careful, she can rip off a big run on you.

Going out on a limb and expecting a Penn St win tomorrow, we are set up for some real potential drama next week. Penn St has dominated Purdue twice so far this year, playing two nearly flawless matches. They meet again next week, and this time, it really matters. Can Purdue put up a good match against this team? Does Penn St pull their yearly flop? It would be a great story...after losing twice in the regular season, Purdue picks the right time to put it all together to beat them, in the sweet 16. Then, on to a rematch against the team that took them out of the tournament last year, Washington. Yep, the potential for the story is all there for Purdue, ready to unfold...

Know that Dilly was the one serving at the end but it sounded more like the Big Blocks that got the ball rolling for Purdue. All around team effort but hope that we see Dildine in the front row for Penn Sate next week! Way to go Boilers!
